5 Best Travel Experiences of 2019
Top 5 Best Travel Experiences of 2019: 5 Places to add to your 2020 Travel List
Over the years, one of the things I've come to appreciate is my ability to travel. It may not be the world adventures that consistently invade my mind but I'm fortunate enough to live in one of the most beautiful and amazing countries in the world and have the opportunity to travel it freely without much reservation. And to me that is truly a gift.
Last year, I set some pretty doable travel goals and adventure lists. But, as with all things life gets involved and before you know it whoops it a brand new year and you didn't accomplish half of the things written on your list. Fortunately, living in the cultural and travel mecca that I do, I was still able to have some absolutely amazing adventures. And today I want to share with you, my top 5 best travel experiences of 2019. So below are my top 5 trips of 2019. The first 2 were so great that I went to them twice last year!!!
Here are the highlights of my best 2019 travels:
1. Mangos Beach Resort, Trelawny
This little nugget first came on my radar after seeing a deal on Brawta Living. Advertised as an adults-only, affordable all-inclusive resort located in the heart of Trelawny; this gem was a surprisingly great experience. With the coziest of rooms and wonderful beach views, this is a wonderful place to visit for a secluded escape, whether for romantic purposes or to get some much needed work done. And don’t you worry your little hearts out, a full review is on its way.
2. Chukka Good Hope, Trelawny
A little known fact about me is that I am truly a thrill-seeker and adventurer, so it seemed like a match made in heaven when I saw the ultimate thrill-seeker adventure experience at Chukka Good Hope being advertised on both Brawta Living and Gustazos at different points in the year. I knew this was something I couldn’t miss. Then add to that they offered ziplining as a part of the experience….. that’s ticking a bucket list item off right there. So more and more, each and every day it became a must do.
Let me just start off by saying that this place is true value for money. Jam packed with so many activities, there is literally something for everyone. I honestly don’t know how you can go here and be bored. Ziplining, atv and dune buggy, river rafting, challenge course, pool and so much more. It is the whoooole package and I wholeheartedly recommend. And as I mentioned before, I went twice last year, with my sisters and again with my besties, and I still haven’t done everything offered. This is how lit and fun filled Chukka Good Hope is.
3. Adehya Villa, Silver Sands, Trelawny
This villa came into my view when a friend of mine decided she wanted to have a villa weekend for her birthday. Ever the travel enthusiast, I was excited for this new adventure. My excitement continued to bubble to overflowing glee when I perused the villa’s instagram page. The decor was absolutely stunning. Talk about gor-geous! It was walking distance from Silver Sands beach which was another place on my travel list. I absolutely loved it. A fun weekend away witj great friends was just what the doctor needed.
4. Monkey Island and Blue Lagoon, Portland
I briefly mentioned these awe-inspiring destinations in my post on my first influencer trip last year. But I really didn’t go into depth about how truly beautiful the places themselves were. Yes, the trip itself was a fabulous experience. But this could only be made possible by being immersed into breathtaking backdrops and lush scenery. Already famous and well-known destinations, these were some of my most anticipated trips in 2019 and trust me they did not disappoint.
5. Konoko Falls and Park, St. Ann
Talk about sliding in at the last minute and clutching victory. This adventure came at the very last moment. Picture this: It is December. The holiday season is in full swing and as a way to close out the end of the year, my work team decides a trip is in order for some much needed de-stressing. Someone suggests Konoko Falls and as they say the rest is history.
Konoko Falls was truly an unexpected treasure. On first look and thought, you say it’s a waterfall, so you already expect natural beauty and breathtaking views. But what this gem adds to the experience is a wonderful tour of their botanical gardens and a lovely petting zoo to really compound the amazing experience. I can’t wait to share my review on this place. I am genuinely excited just typing this.
So there you have it loves, my 5 best travel experiences of 2019. These were the trips that truly invoked feelings of awe, excitement, appreciation and true adventure into the very fiber of my being during 2019. I hope they will also inspire you as you make your travel goals for 2020. They are truly worthwhile experiences and I appreciate even having the opportunity to experience these amazing places.
