The Best Places To Grab Holiday Drinks in Jamaica
The Best Places To Grab Holiday Drinks in Jamaica
Christmas is absolutely one of my favourite times of the year; second only to my birthday if I’m to be honest. The carols, snuggling up to watch holiday movies, spending time with friends and family; the whole thing always puts me in a fabulous and happy mood. And one of my absolute favourite thing to do around the Christmas holiday season is to try out the new Christmas-themed culinary creations and delicacies that usually hits the market around this time. Scrumptious sorrel and cranberry treats to make a little curvy lady smile from ear to ear.
But, no holiday meal or season can ever be complete without having a great holiday drink to wash it all down. Whether it’s your family’s secret sorrel or eggnog recipe, the local coffee shop Christmas-themed coffee brews or a little spirit to put you in the spirit; holiday drinks have always had a special place in my heart. And this year, I wanted to drop some knowledge and let you in on some of my favourite places to grab holiday drinks in Jamaica.
Alcohol-Based Holiday Drinks
Chilitos Jamexican Restaurant
Chilitos is no stranger to my blog. I have raved time and time again about their menu that you’d think I had shares in the restaurant. But truly, the food is just that good. So is it a wonder that the drinks are also A1?! But, for this festive season, the sorrel magaritas are my go to drink at Chilitos. The perfect blend of the sweet sorrel flavour that we know and love mixed seamlessly with the generous amounts of alcohol that Chilitos is known for.

Regency Bar and Lounge at the Terra Nova Hotel
Endless coocktails are back and with a Christmas theme to match. Last year, Regency was one of the go to places for holiday drinks in Jamaica. Creative twists to classic drink recipes brought the sweet taste of Christmas to my lips. And I can tell you the drinks were delicious. Though this year is not as big as previous, more in part due to covid mashing up everyone’s dollhouse'; the Regency Bar is still offering a holiday crafted cocktail called the ‘Sorrel Surprise’ at their Endless Cocktails Friday.
Non-Alcoholic Holiday Drinks
Café Blue
From the lush Jamaican hills of the Blue Mountains, Café Blue is the go to coffee house in Jamaica for when you want a taste of authentic Jamaican coffee. But one of the things that has helped to really solidify their mark as a delectable part of the Jamaican lifestyle are their signature drinks that grace our presence every holiday. Each drinks tastes just as scrumptious as it looks and it perfect way to wash down one of their delicious panini sandwiches. And the best thing is, whether you choose to make the scenic drive up to the location in Irish Town or go to one of their coffee shops on the flat, you still get the same delicious flavour every time.
Café Dolce
Café Dolce isn’t as heavily trafficked as Café Blue or Starbucks but that doesn’t stop this cozy coffee house from giving these bigger chains a run for their money. Their seasonal festive drinks are some of the best there is. The sweet confections of the Christmas cookie frozay hits a spot that you didn’t even know was there. It is beyond tantalizing and refreshing. A stop by Café Dolce to grab one of their holiday drinks is definitely something that should be on everyone’s Christmas list this year.
Starbucks Jamaica
Starbucks seems to be one of the go to places for festive drinks and holiday delicacies in the US. If you search holiday drinks on Youtube, you’ll probably see hundred of links with creators trying different holiday drinks from Starbucks every year. So when Starbucks made its debut in Jamaica, their festive brews were definitely something on the minds of all its patrons and they didn’t disappoint. This year they created holiday drinks to satisfy any palate. Whether your preference is hot coffee or a cold brew, there is a drink just waiting to be tasted by you.
